Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is actively hiring for an experienced Software Development Engineer (Job ID: 38822) to join their team in Bangalore. Operating on a hybrid model, this role focuses on building scalable software solutions for network management and integrating AI-assisted development tools.

Understanding the Role: What Will You Do at Nokia? As a Software Development Engineer, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle for network management features, from analysis to testing.

  • Microservices & Open-Source: Develop microservice components and integrate open-source software for NMS (Network Management System) platform functionalities.

  • AI-Assisted Development: Apply the latest AI-assisted software development techniques and tools, leveraging AI-enabled editors like Cursor and GitHub Copilot.

  • Performance & Optimization: Troubleshoot defects, optimize NMS software performance, and ensure solutions are robust for optical/transport network operations.

  • Collaboration: Engage in code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions with diverse cross-functional teams.

Eligibility Criteria & Required Skills

  • Experience Level: 3 to 5 years of software engineering experience, preferably with EMS/NMS products.

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

  • Location: Prestige Solitaire, Bangalore, Karnataka (Hybrid work model).

  • Core Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, Angular, HTML, JavaScript, Python, and AI-assisted development techniques.

  • Backend & Infrastructure: Experience with databases (SQL), REST APIs, Unix/Linux environments, and agile methodologies.

  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of network technologies including Ethernet, IP, and DWDM is highly advantageous.
