Mysore Tennis Club (R) will be conducting Mysuru Open-2025 Tennis tournament on April 18, 19, 20, 2025. Here’s what the posters say in detail:

During the tournament, breakfast and lunch will be provided for the players.

Rules & Regulations

The registration deadline is April 15, 2025. There will be no on-the-spot registrations.

You must enter player’s name and phone number.

For doubles, insert partner’s name + phone #. Mysuru Open-2025 Tennis

UP TO THREE EVENTS (1 SINGLES + 2 DOUBLES OR 2 SINGLES + 1 DOUBLES)

Tennis wear is required: shirt, shorts and non-marking shoes.

The matches will be on synthetic and clay courts.

Any late arrivals will be given a walk-over.

Valid Government ID may be necessary to verify age.

There is no separation in coaches and markers — they can just enter Open.

All players must follow a strict tennis dress code, and that includes:

T-shirt

Shorts

Non-marking tennis shoes (to avoid damage to the courts)

Organizer’s Authority

Ask for government ID for age verification.

Resolve any disputes and make final decisions on match rules and the modifications needed, if any.

Mahesh Bhupathi

A doubles specialist, Mahesh Bhupathi was the first Indian to win a Grand Slam title after winning the mixed doubles title at the 1997 French Open. He has total of 12 Grand Slam doubles and mixed doubles titles and partnered with Leander Paes to form one of the most formidable pairs in doubles.

Sania Mirza

She is Sania Mirza, the most successful female tennis player in India. She reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 27 before turning her interests to doubles, in which she was ranked World No. 1. She has also won six Grand Slam doubles titles and has been a pioneer in women’s tennis in India.

Rohan Bopanna

Rohan Bopanna, his partner with a good doubles game and a big serve, had also won his first Grand Slam, the 2017 French Open (mixed doubles) He reached a career-best ranking of No. 3 in doubles and has often played on behalf of India in Davis Cup and ATP events.

Vijay Amritraj

Vijay Amritraj was among the first tennis icons of India, and was one of the top singles players in the world, advancing to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon and the US Open. He was a mainstay of India’s Davis Cup team in the 1970s and later became a respected sports commentator and actor.

Ramesh Krishnan
