“Angkrish played a great innings, Venkatesh anchored it beautifully, and Rinku provided the finishing touch. I felt we were at least 10 runs over par, making our total very defendable. Vaibhav Arora was outstanding, picking up key wickets at crucial moments.

“Rahane captained well despite being new to our squad. We planned to finish the game with Russell at the death since he’s our best in that role. We never take anything for granted, especially when Heinrich Klaasen is at the crease—he’s one of the best in T20 cricket. After a tough loss in the previous match, our plan was to accumulate runs early and then accelerate. We must stay consistent, work hard, and maintain this momentum.”

“Tough loss for us. The target was gettable, and the pitch was pretty good for batting. However, we left too many runs in the field and fell short in the chase. This is our third consecutive loss, and we need to reassess our approach.
