Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) started their season with an explosive 286/6 against Rajasthan Royals but have since struggled, posting below-par totals in back-to-back games. In their aggressive pursuit of the 300-run mark, they seem to have lost their way, with teams now finding effective strategies to counter their attacking approach. Apart from Aniket Verma, none of SRH’s batters found their rhythm today. The big question remains: can last season’s runners-up recover and get back to winning ways, or is their campaign headed for further trouble? Only time will tell.

That’s it from us for now! This is Nikhil, signing off on behalf of Pradeep, Vinod, Abhinand, and Praveen. Post-Match Reactions

Mitchell Starc | Player of the Match:
“It was a great day for us in all aspects—batting, bowling, and fielding. We executed our plans well, and I’m happy to have contributed to the win. These days, bowlers need to think outside the box, as batters expect certain deliveries. As an experienced player, I have to constantly evolve and find new ways to take wickets. It was great to see our new squad perform so well, and I look forward to more matches with this fantastic group.”

Axar Patel | DC Captain:
“I’ve said before that my approach to captaincy will remain the same. You can’t take any game lightly in this tournament because all 10 teams are strong. We need to stick to our plans and execute them well, which we did successfully today. The idea was to give Starc two overs up front and two at the death, but he was in such good rhythm that I gave him an extra over, and it paid off. Having experienced players in the team helps; they provide valuable input, and sometimes I go with their suggestions. Now, we move on to Kotla, where we’ll assess conditions and strategize accordingly.”

Tristan Stubbs:
“The pitch played a bit slow today, and the ball was gripping, making strokeplay tricky. We kept things simple and placed our fielders in key areas. At the halfway mark, we discussed conserving energy because it was extremely hot out there. Our team balance feels great—Faf was exceptional at the top, and the new guys have stepped up brilliantly. Personally, I’m learning a lot from Kevin Pietersen, constantly asking him questions to improve my game.”

Pat Cummins | SRH Captain:
“We never really got going with the bat. A few of our shots didn’t come off, and some good catches in the deep didn’t help our cause either. This format is unforgiving—on another day, a few of those shots clear the boundary, and the momentum shifts. Aniket Verma was fantastic today and gave us a fighting chance. He impressed us in the lead-up to the tournament, and it’s great to see him delivering. It’s still early in the season, and while we’ve had a couple of losses, there’s no need to panic. We’ll assess our options and look to bounce back soon.”  Match-10|SRH VS DC|DC Won the Match

Match Summary

Delhi Capitals (DC) have now secured two consecutive wins. While their previous victory against Lucknow Super Giants came in a thrilling chase, today’s performance was far more clinical. Mitchell Starc’s fiery spell restricted SRH to a below-par total, and DC’s batters made light work of the chase on a batting-friendly surface.

Jake Fraser-McGurk struggled early on, but Faf du Plessis played a flawless knock, steadying the innings and reaching a well-deserved fifty before falling to debutant Zeeshan Ansari. Fraser-McGurk departed soon after, while KL Rahul’s quick cameo was cut short by Ansari. However, Tristan Stubbs and Abhishek Porel ensured no further hiccups, steering DC home comfortably in the 16th over.
