Andhra Pradesh Pickleball Courts:
The Andhra Pradesh Pickleball Association is a newly established sports body committed to the development and organization of the sport of pickleball in Andhra Pradesh. The interest in pickleball had started building in some parts of the state such as Guntur, Vijayawada and Vizag over the past years, and the state association was finally registered on Feb 25, 2025.
- These folks and their team have been instrumental in arranging events, creating state level teams and in getting their state of Andhra Pradesh formally represented in the India pickleball ecosystem.
- August and September 2024 The 1st Andhra Pradesh State Pickleball Championship was held in the VVV Health Hub in the month of August. That was a big turning point in bringing players together across the state.

The rising demand for pickleball in tier-2 towns and cities in Andhra Pradesh led to the birth of APPA. More and more hobbyists and across all ages were taking up the sport, for exercise or fun or a chance to compete. It is the absence of an official body to host tournaments or drive the cause of AP players at the national level that made the formation of a special association a necessity.
